Overview
Traditional Japanese style bento box, handmade with beautiful natural grains of wood.
Magewappa (曲げわっぱ, lit. "Bent-woodware") is a traditional Japanese woodcraft found in Odate, Akita Prefecture, Japan. Magewappa products are renowned for their elegant straight grain and rich color. These silky-smooth wooden boxes, made from natural wood, are famous for their aroma and beautiful grain. Handmade one by one for over 400 years.
This traditional Japanese wooden bento box provides excellent insulation for all-season use. The natural wood absorbs excess moisture from the rice, helping to maintain its texture, making it less likely to spoil in summer and less likely to harden in winter. Highly functional throughout the year.
The box comes with an adjustable and removable divider, as well as an elastic strap to secure the entire bento. Its lightweight and minimalist design makes it suitable for various occasions, such as school lunches, picnics, and more. With proper care, it will last for years.
Since we use natural wood, there are individual differences in wood grain, color, and size. Please understand these characteristics of the product. All products are inspected and controlled in Japan, ensuring high-quality standards.
Wash with warm water (or rice water) with a small amount of vinegar at before using it at first time.
