Are your books suitable for bilingual learners or beginners?

Yes! Many of our books are bilingual (Chinese + English), making them perfect for families just starting out, kids in Mandarin immersion programs, or parents raising bilingual children. Because we’ve been through this journey ourselves, we know how important it is to have books that are fun, confidence-building, and easy to share at home.

How do I know which age group a product is best for?

Every product includes a recommended age guide in the description to help you choose what fits best. Think of it as a friendly starting point—since every child learns differently, you might find your little one is ready to explore books above or below their “age group.” We get it—we’re parents too, and we’ve built these guides from real everyday experience.

Do your books include Zhuyin (Bopomofo) or Pinyin support?

Yes! Many of our Chinese books include Zhuyin (Bopomofo) or Pinyin to support early readers and language learners. We know how valuable these tools are for parents who want to support literacy at home, whether you grew up with Zhuyin in Taiwan or prefer Pinyin as a learning bridge. Each product page notes exactly what’s included so you can find the best fit for your family.

Orders & Payments

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

We start processing orders quickly to get them out on time. If you need to make a change, please email info@yobabyshop.com as soon as possible. While we can’t guarantee changes after your order is submitted, we’ll do our best to help.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can click the link anytime to see where your package is. Alternatively, you may log in to track your order.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay, and Yo! Baby Shop gift cards.

Can I use more than one discount code or gift card?

Only one discount code can be applied per order. However, you can use a Yo! Baby Shop gift card along with a discount code at checkout.

What currency are your prices in?

All prices on yobabyshop.com are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD). If you’re shopping from outside the U.S., your bank or credit card provider may apply additional currency conversion fees.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free standard shipping within the 48 contiguous U.S. states on orders over $99 USD. Orders under $99 ship at a flat rate of $8.95.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. Territories?

We sure do. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories is a flat rate of $19. Furniture and oversized items have special flat-rate fees—see our full shipping policy for details.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship to Canada and Mexico. Orders over $199 ship for a flat rate of $20. Orders under $199 are calculated at checkout. Please note that international customers are responsible for duties and taxes upon delivery.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are processed within 3 business days (excluding holidays and pre-orders) and ship from Los Angeles, California. Delivery time depends on your location and shipping method. You’ll receive a tracking email once your order is on the way.

What about pre-order items?

If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order items, we’ll ship everything together once your pre-order arrives. Need your in-stock items sooner? You can choose to ship them first for an additional $8.95 fee during checkout.

Can you ship to P.O. boxes?

Yes! We can ship to P.O. boxes within the U.S. Please note that larger items (like furniture or oversized packages) may require a physical street address.

What if my order is lost or stolen?

We know how stressful that can feel. Once an order is marked “delivered,” the responsibility shifts to the carrier, but we’re happy to help you reach out to the shipping provider and provide any information you need to file a claim.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We understand that sometimes things don’t work out. You may return unused items within 14 days of purchase. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and original shipping fees are non-refundable. All sale and special promotion items are final sale.

How do I start a return?

It’s simple:

  1. Email us at info@yobabyshop.com with your order number.
  2. Once our customer service team reviews your request, we’ll issue you a pre-paid return label.
  3. Pack your item securely, attach the label, and drop it off with the carrier.
  • If the return is a change of mind, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
  • If the return is due to a defective or incorrect item, the return shipping is free.

Refunds are processed within 10 business days once we’ve received your return.

What if I received the wrong item?

Oh no—we’re so sorry! Please contact us at info@yobabyshop.com within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.

What if my item is defective?

We stand behind the quality of our products and want you to be happy with your order. If you receive a defective item, simply contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@yobabyshop.com

  • We’ll provide you with a pre-paid return label at no cost.
  • Once the item is returned and on its way, we’ll send a replacement or process your exchange.

After 14 days, some items may still be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. (Warranty terms vary by vendor—see our full warranty details.)

Are shipping costs refundable?

All shipping and insurance costs are non-refundable. If you decide to return an item, return shipping is at your expense.

How long will my refund take?

Refunds are processed within 10 business days once we’ve received your returned item. You’ll see the credit back on your original payment method.
