薩提爾到底是誰？

薩提爾是二十世紀最有影響力的心理師之一，也是家族治療的先軀。她於一九七二年提出「冰山」一詞，冰山是一個隱喻，每個人都是一座冰山，能被人看見的，只是冰山一角，也就是水平面以上的部分，而更大一部分，則藏在冰山的深層，那是人的內在，包括感受、期待、渴望與自我。
我們看不見彼此的內在，一如我們看不見水平面下的冰山，因此，我們只能猜想、揣測、自以為，衝突因而產生。要如何深入了解一個人的內在呢？薩提爾告訴我們，可以透過冰山對話，一步步探索。
