A lightweight Japanese donabe clay pot designed for gentle heat, rich flavors, and everyday comfort cooking.

Overview

Designed for modern lifestyles while rooted in traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the Kikka Donabe Clay Pot supports slow, thoughtful cooking with everyday ease. Made in Japan from carefully selected natural clay, it is approximately 15 percent lighter than conventional clay pots, making it easier to handle without sacrificing performance or warmth.

Earthenware’s low thermal conductivity allows heat to rise gradually and evenly, helping bring out the natural sweetness of ingredients while keeping meats tender and vegetables intact. This gentle heating makes the pot especially well suited for stews, soups, and slow-cooked dishes meant to be enjoyed straight from the table.

Finished with a matte black body using an in-house developed glaze that helps resist odors and staining, the Kikka donabe balances beauty and practicality. Inspired by traditional Japanese colors and forms, including its chrysanthemum-patterned lid, it blends naturally into modern interiors while honoring the spirit of classic Japanese hospitality.

Available in three sizes to suit different household needs.
